About Reservations
How do I go about checking in to my extended stay vacation home?
We guarantee that your home will be ready to check into at 3:00 p.m. on the day of your arrival. Please make sure to complete the Paperless Check-in Packet before arriving. If you are unable to do so, you can use the computer stations set up at our office. You will check in at our office located on 41693 Big Bear Blvd. Big Bear Lake, CA 92315. Click here for directions. If you have not received your “Paperless Check-In Packet” please call your Guest Service Representative and ask for a copy.
Should you wish to check into your home early, feel free to stop in our office on the day of your arrival and, if your unit is clean and ready, we will be happy to accommodate your early check-in, however please keep in mind that check-out time is at 11:00 a.m., so if your home was booked prior to your reservation, it is possible it will not be ready until 3:00 p.m.
Please bring the credit card you used for your reservation, along with your ID as these are required for your check-in process. If for some reason the original credit card is not available, we may switch the charge onto a different card with an administrative fee of 4.62%. For cash payments this fee does not apply.
What is the best way to check out of my extended stay vacation home?
Simply bring your key to our office at 41693 Big Bear Blvd. Click here for directions. Check out is anytime prior to 11:00 a.m. on your day of departure. You can a request a late check out for an additional fee by calling the morning of your departure. Late checkout is based on availability only and is not guaranteed.
What amenities can I expect to be provided and what else should I bring?
You can expect your home’s kitchen to have the essential items to cook and serve your meals, including plates, silverware, glasses, mugs, pots, pans and utensils.
We recommend you bring any specialty items you prefer to use when you cook as well as paper towels, foil and food storage containers.
Your bathrooms will have clean towels, wash clothes, hand towels, and bath mats as well as a started selection of soap, TP, shampoo and conditioner.
You may want to bring your own hair dryer, irons and ironing board as we do not require that these be provided for you in every home.
All of your bedding will be provided, including fresh linens and pillows. We, however, recommend you bring extra pillows and blankets if you prefer.
We want you to have the best vacation possible, so please don’t forget that when you are up at this higher altitude, sunscreen is a must!
Can I cancel my existing reservation?
Reservations are non-refundable unless the request for cancellation is beyond 30 days from arrival date (45 days for holidays). A cancellation fee of $75.00 or 10% of the reservation amount (whichever is greater) applies. Reservations cancelled inside the 30 days of arrival date will receive a Rain Check valid for 6 months if the cabin is rebooked for all dates being cancelled. Refunds will not be provided for cancellations due to weather, road conditions, acts of nature, electrical failure, equipment malfunctions, mountain critter sightings or other circumstances beyond our control.
Is a security deposit required?
You have two options for this but must choose one: 1. We can hold a $1,000 security deposit for up to 30 days after your departure, or 2. You can elect the more popular “damage waiver” which is a non-refundable % of your rent; this covers any accidental damages incurred during your stay.
Can I bring my pet with me?
Pets are welcome in most of our accommodations but this must be verified for the home you reserve. For extended stay vacation homes, the fee is $100 per pet per month. Visit the pet page for more info.
Is there a late fee for monthly rent?
If your extended stay is over 1 month you will be required to pay the next month’s rent 30 days prior to that month. When booking, you can set up automatic payment plans or you can call in to make a payment. Your rent is considered late 5 days after the due date, which will result in a $25.00 late fee.
